If you have a solid idea for a grassroots project that could make a real difference, why not make an application?
Tell us your plan and why you think it should be considered for financial
support. We want to know what real impact you can make and why you are the best person to take it forward!
For the 2026/27 funding round, we have a fund of £30,000 to distribute. The maximum award is £5,000 per project. Priority will be given to projects based in the UK.
We have revised our application process, which is now completed online. Please submit your application by 30 September 2026 using the online application form below.
Applications will be considered by the Trustees at our AGM in November, and you will be notified of the outcome during that month.
The decisions of the Trustees on funding are final and the deliberations will remain confidential. However, we will be happy to provide brief feedback on your application where possible.
Every effort will be made by the Trustees to distribute our funds widely and fairly.

Applications received after the closing date will be considered for a future funding round unless otherwise advised.

About the Herbal Medicine Trust
The Herbal Medicine Trust aims to advance education in the science, study and practice of herbal medicine and allied disciplines.
We have established Heartwood College of Herbal Medicine for the training and tuition of students in medical herbalism.
We also support a variety of grassroots herbal and community projects through our grant funding programme.
